Brooklyn Beckham Covers Man About Town Magazine
The Beckhams have a strange relationship with the media. As a Spice Girls fan, I have followed Victoria's career and, as a consequence David's, for the past 18 years, and I can say that these Girls know how to manipulate the press, although their ways have many times backfired.
A few years ago, Victoria and David requested that their biggest fan forum, Denden, would stop posting pictures of their kids. That was, of course, their decision, and everyone respected it, even if some didn't agree with it because, after all, Victoria and David are often pictured with their kids and people on fan forums discuss everything. I for one was glad the decision was made, I never cared for celebrity babies (they bore me) and some fans were analysing pictures of the kids as if they were the famous ones, and not their parents, and I found that was a bit strange. Like those people who comment under the 'articles' that are posted on the Daily Fail, a website that is only good to look at pictures of shirtless men on the beach and Lady Gaga.
But why would the Beckhams send legal threats to a fan forum and not to every single other media outlet out there? Sure, your fans might be a little obsessed, but they are genuine supporters, while those people who spit venom on the Daily Fail are not.
Also, during New York Fashion Week one or two years ago, Victoria was parading around the city with her little girl, Harper, on her hip, facing all the paparazzi that were snapping away. She didn't seem very bothered. She was also happy to let her son, Romeo, pose for a Burberry campaign two years ago.
It just doesn't make much sense to me. I understand their decision, and I would fully agree with it if they treated everyone the same.
Anyway, Brooklyn was the latest Beckham kid to make his modelling debut on the cover of Man About Town magazine.
The pictures were taken by Alasdair McLellan, who shot his mother for VOGUE magazine UK and his father for Fantastic Man magazine. Apparently Brooklyn was very professional and involved in the styling process.
The editor of the magazine says that the shoot celebrates teenage style. But will the Beckhams be happy with their son being plastered all over the front pages?
