Michael Jackson's New Album To Be Released In May

Michael Jackson fans rejoice: new music from the King Of Pop will be gracing your ears very soon! You will be able to pre-order the new album, "Xscape", on April the 1st on iTunes.com/MichaelJackson. It will be available in stores Worldwide on May the 13th.

"Xscape" is a collection of eight tracks, but a deluxe edition will also be released and it will contain all of the sourced Michael Jackson recordings in their original form. The album was executive produced by L.A. Reid, who was given total access to unlimited amounts of material that Michael had worked on over four decades.

The songs have been re-worked to give them a fresh, current sound, a process which L.A. Reid calls 'contemporising'. Rodney Jerkins, Timbaland and Stargate are some of the producers who have worked on the record.

The title track was written by Michael Jackson and Rodney Jerkins, and it was produced by the duo. The song was never released but it has been re-worked for the new album and 'contemporised' by the producer who recorded it originally in the studio with Michael.
