Four Sisters, Three Decades Of Pictures

Nicholas Nixon is a popular photographer who is known for his work in portraiture and documentary photography, and his most popular project is probably "People With AIDS", which he started working on in 1987.

In 1975 he decided he would take a single shot of his wife, Bebe, and her three sisters every year. The project was called "The Brown Sisters" and the women posed in exactly the same left to right order for over three decades.

The results show a change in age, fashion, background and looks, but what's really touching is the sisterly bond that has never left these women. In over three decades so much can happen that I was expecting to see a missing member in one of the pictures, but that wasn't the case, and I was pleasantly surprised.
